They are such an important asset to natural health, including aromatherapy. However, when used topically, some essential oils can possibly irritate the skin, cause sensitivity, or even burn the skin when used without diluting. A common dilution ratio is about 2% essential oil to 98% carrier oil (carrier oils can be nearly any fatty oil such as olive oil, grapeseed oil, emu oil, coconut oil, etc.). TWO drops of essential oil to about 1 tsp of carrier oil and 10 drops of essential oil (about half the sample vial amount) to about 5 tsp of carrier oil (and remember, different vials, bottles, and oil consistencies have different size drops) should be a good start. If a specific essential oil is new to you, we recommend you perform a skin patch test to test for sensitivity and/or allergies. Do not use essential oil at full strength or take internally unless directed to do so by a qualified medical practitioner. Be safe and enjoy! ESSENTIAL OIL CONSISTENCY NOTE: Valued Customers, please be aware that essential oils generally do not have the same consistency as fatty oils. The Consistency of essential oils' range from thin (almost watery) to thick (like a thick serum or even tar) or even as thick as creamy paste, all depending on the type of essential oil it is. A thin essential oil does not mean it has been diluted or that it is a synthetic "fragrance" oil, but it is just the nature of that particular essential oil. ESSENTIAL OIL COLOR INFORMATION: Oil colors may vary. This is due to various reasons such as the time of year of harvest, the plant cultivation location, and the extraction method. 1 ML VIAL SIZE/AMOUNT NOTE: Dear Valued Customers, please be advised that our 1ml samples come in vials that hold up to 1.5ml of fluid. We always fill the vials with at least 1ml of oils, never less, so when you have a vial that is not "full to the top", it is not because you have been "shorted," it is because the vials hold more than 1ml.  For reference, 1ml of fluid in our sample vials is about 2/3 full ( see images for reference ). PAYMENT: We kindly ask that you pay for your winning bid within 48 hours, but no later than 7 days. After 48 hours, we will send you an invoice. After 7 days of non-payment, we may open a non-paid item case to help complete the transaction. We do not open cases to upset our customers, rather, as a way for us to have a positive resolution. Once a product has been shipped, late shipments are out of our control, but we always do what we can to put a smile back on our customer's face. Unfortunately, shipping costs continue to soar, forcing us to offer free shipping only when a minimum purchase is met. RETURNS: We gladly accept returns within 30 days of delivery receipt, unless otherwise stated. All we ask is that you send the product back in the condition you received it so that you get your full refund.  PLEASE NOTE: We do not refund shipping charges unless we have shipped an incorrect product. This is because shipping is an entire different service, and once an item has shipped, that service has already been paid for. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: PLEASE check your local laws country before ordering essential oils or other products. Since we are unable to verify laws in every country, we kindly ask that you make sure when we send you your order, it will not be returned by customs. If your package is returned by customs, we will refund you (minus the cost of shipping). Unfortunately, we are unable to refund shipping costs for customs issues/returns, as this was not based on our error, and shipping really adds up for us . Although we ship within 1 business day, please be aware that once the postal service receives your package, we have no control of shipping and/or any delays.
